I really really love my job, as hokey as it may sound I like being in the service/entertainment industry and think its really cool that I can be part of someones really good, fun experience when they go out for a night on the town.
This morning however I was dealing my favorite game to deal Mini Baccarrat in our high rollers area, when one of our "big money" players came in. Now most people go to the Casino with a couple hundred bucks, this guy comes in with upwards of 40,000 grand on a somewhat daily basis. Nice enough guy, he is usually respectful, has a good time and I know how to deal to him the way he likes.
Wellllllll let me tell you all about Mr stomp my foot act like a four year old and throw shit around. Not only did he throw cards that landed on the floor making it impossible for me to read what the hand was. He also threw over 6 grand in cash on the table in a fit making it fly all over the place covering the cards and other players bets. AND instead of using chips in a high denomination like 1000 or 5000 he took every bit of my 100, 25 and 5 dollar chips and stacked them up to where they were on the verge of toppling over. JUST to make me work at breaking them down, counting it all out, paying it just like it sits, which means color for color.
I would have beat my kids ass if he had ever been so rude, disrespectful and petulant in public and forced someone to go well beyond the scope of their job just because he thought it was funny.
I did however only have to pay one such bet, he subsequently lost six in a row like that and that my friends is a clear cut quick and brutal process of Karma in action. IMO. Happy Friday to me.
