Default Metaphors & Music

While I realize that metaphors and music go hand in hand, sometimes I wonder, "What the Hell were they thinking???"

The song that inspired this thread is one I remember from childhood. My dad was/is a huge country music fan and I heard a bit of this song recently while standing in line somewhere.

So, it got stuck in my head but made me think, "what other songs are out that have have taken use of a metaphor to another level-and not necessarily a good one?"

I am posting lyrics, not videos because I think the lyrics are key here. Not that the videos might not be over the top too-but that is probably another thread.
