Default I'm new... and single

Hi everyone, hopefully it's not too late to join into this group. I am new to the site and very grateful to have found a community of support.

About me, I am widowed for almost 2 years now, the first year was impossible and than I woke up and started living again. I am now single but have important people in my life. But not that ONE important person.

I currently live in Alberta, Canada but I am moving to BC in June, so starting all over again on my own.

Most of the time I really enjoy being single and some would say I have the best life. I have my place to myself, my children are grown and gone, I have a great male friend who spends the night occasionally I have a wonderful female friend (who I love) that spends the night occasionally and the rest of the time I have for myself, my friends and the work I do.

I am an artist and writer and really try to enjoy life.

However, I find there are times when I really miss having that one person, the person to hold you when you just need holding, the person you can come home at the end of the day to and they just know you well enough to see that you need to discuss something or not. The one person who is always there when you need them and that one person I can be there for.

I am at a point in my life where I am connecting more to the female energy and would love to find a woman to share my life with.

Okay, this wasn't meant to be a personal ad, I just wanted to share a bit about myself.

I look forward to getting to know people here and learning more about how we all cope with the day to day work of being single.

Thanks, L
