Enjoyed the onions of yesterday's dinner in honour of my mother's 85th. But dang, the liver... it was not exactly delicious eats. Oh well, I thought of it as medicine and consumed it anyways.

Also woke up wondering about the protein posts here and why they did not make any sense to me. Finally dawned on me that 1 oz serving of protein does not equal 30 grams of protein, per se. Because when we get a 3.5 oz portion of say tuna fish, which is what served to remind me of this basic. That does not equate with 3.5 oz of protein, the macro nutrient. My mind, sorry... it loves the science behind nutrients.

Another thing sprung to my mind, nutrient density. Versus quantity, thinking more along the lines of quality. Nice to also find added goodies in good eats, like fiber and the probiotics and what not. They do say that if you can eat an apple, like an hour or half hour before your lunch, it will change your life! I think there may be a lot of science that backs that one up. Not just about satiety, but other things that may well keep that proverbial doctor away.

Trying new things, always exploring the world of food and tastes, cultures and the world. Today I am finally exploring the rich world of organic kefir. Considering I do better without lactose, and probably all dairy. It is an experiment. I am ever hopeful, as the nutrition label is awe inspiring. I have some very learned friends that swear by this stuff. Helps the gut in ways that no other thing on earth does, supposedly.

Experimental process is alive and well in Loveland today!
