Default Pinterest ideas that actually work!!!

I really like pinterest! I mean REALLY like pinterest!!!! So many ideas to make life, home, dinner, crafts better!

I have tried a few things, that yes, actually have been a success!
Surprise surprise!!

I am sharing those experiments here, and my real life results.

If you have tried anything, please share!

This is the bottom of the celery bunch. I cut about 2 inches off of the bunch, and put it in a shallow dish of h2o. Within days, tiny green leafy sprouts were growing up between the stalks!!! Fascinating and oh so exciting!! It hasn't grown big, so I don't know if I will be able to get full stalks of celery, but I like the leafy part best anyway. I will soak and then plant several more, and hopefully have an ever lasting bounty of leafy goodness!

I got sucked into the "Topsy Turvy Tomato" craze when it first came out years ago, and it was an expensive experiment!
Now, I've cut holes in the bottom of pots, planted the plants, filled in the dirt, and am watching my crazy plants curve up towards the sun! I guess once the tomatos start to grow, it might straighten the plant back out, but it is kind of neat that the plant still wants to grow "up"! Fingers crossed that I get a ton of tomatos because I want to can like crazy this fall!

Now, the person who posted the green onion experiment, stated that "you will never have to buy green onions again!"
Well, the first batch I did, I managed to harvest them twice, then they just rotted away in the h2o. The batch I am on now, seems to be doing much better, maybe because it has warmed up, and there is more sun, but the stalks seem stronger this time.
Time will tell, so I will post an update!
