In church today the pastor made a request that all moms come to the front and be recognized. I stepped up to the front with about 15 other moms and marveled at how different we all looked and that being a mom transcends being Trans (me), Butch, Femme, or androgynous (pls forgive me if I missed anyone). We all had that one common thing no matter how we identified. The diversity of the mothers standing in front of the alter was a comfort to me today and I was honored to stand there with them.
