I have grown up with chihuahua dogs all my life, boys and girls.

I am glad we got this lil white chihuahua, Babygirl. She was so infected with fleas. I felt so bad. As soon as we got her home and through a a very bad thunderstorm which she handled quite well, we bathed and scrubbed her for like an hour and then got some flea spray. Those little f*ckers were gone fast. thank God. I could see her in discomfort as she scratched at them and you could see them! It was awful, but she is fine now and happy.

I must say if you ever have to deal with this it is just awful, but know that the spray works along with a comb through with soapy water.

She really isn't a barker as we were told she may be. She's a good girl. Lays most of the day. She has a bed but since she got home with us she has resorted to the couch or our bed when we are in the bedroom. She has a cozy blanket at the foot of the bed where she will lay most of the time, but sometimes likes to explore up where we lay especially on our pillows above our heads and under the blankets.

She loves going for walks. She may notice noises or people but mostly she is about exploring her surroundings and finding places to mark. lol. There were kids around the other day. She wouldn't let them pet her. I noticed she is like that at first but once she warms up to someone, which usually doesn't take long, she will love to be petted, lay in laps, cuddle.

We were also told she is a runner. I only noticed this when we were headed out and I took time to lock the door. Ohh she was ready to go and wasn't waiting. LOL Another time was when I was headed with her to the laundry room she tried to dart and I think it was because it was very warm in there. I just picked her up and took her in with me and she was fine. We have to be careful though when something may frighten her because she is prone to dart. She wears a harness instead of a collar as it seems to be more comfortable and fit her better.

She has been a joy.. I have been off the last two days since we got her and now I'm wondering how she will handle being alone for about 5 hours of the day between when my honey goes to work and I get home. . When my honey has left for work the last two days she came running to the bed and plopped on with me. Today she sighed. I think she will be okay and will mostly snooze! Thankfully it is pretty quiet and peaceful here.

I can't wait to get her to parks and into the water!
