It was turkey and cheese sandwiches for lunch today. I set it up buffet style with the bread fanned on a platter, the meat and cheese were all rolled and fanned on another plate, the lettuce leaves where cut cleaned and placed next to the tomatoes and cucumbers that were also cut, sliced and fanned out. Plates and forks started the line and condoments were set on the table. I yelled out for the kids to come on down to lunch. The first guy is all emo and clips the corner, freezes and looks at me...
kid: Wow, this is like catering service or something.
me: Nope just a nice summer spread. A nice way to present sandwiches.
kid: It's too good of a setup for a place like this.
me: Really? Cause I don't think anything is too good for you kids.
kid: Wow! Thank you so much!
He ate three sandwiches... This was smile worthy!
