Ugh.......Detroit & Cleveland won too. We lost 1/2 a game. We have to win tonight to split the series which I would settle for then we're off to play the Tigers, (we need to take the series if not sweep altogether and end this long-assed road stand. Last home game was before the All Star break.) With Detroit a mere 2.5 games behind us I'd prefer the sweep. We could lose ground here and it will either make or break our year.

After that, the Twinkies at home. While MN may look like a no-brainer on paper only a fool would dismiss them. They've been able to hand our asses to us on a platter fairly readily.

I do believe, however, that Cleveland is done. They face the Orioles next and than Detroit. I think these 2 series is key for them and that it won't end well and they will sink further back. I would be surprised if they slipped behind the Royals although there is the possibility that KC will have a bit of a surge. I would have expected them to taken the series against the Mariners, which they did not do. In any case I believe that bottom of the Central is now set as is.

You guys should be able to rough up the Blue Jays but have a hill to climb with the Rangers, Tigers, and the Yankees right behind the birds. Do us a favor and handle the Tigers willya? I don't think you are going the catch the Yankees this year. At least by the books they should be able to clean out their next 2 opponants (Oakland and Seattle) before they hook up with the Red Sox.

Good luck tonight!! I hope it's at least a good game.
