The little things in one's relationship can literally include a little one. My relationship does. My girlfriend has a daughter that is 10 years old. This may be another thread but I have got to say, sometimes being the "step-parent" figure can be a challenge and sometimes also a wonderful gift. Today when this little 10 year old acknowledged I had gone out of my way in doing something for her, I paused and realized just how much her letting down her guard and saying "Thank you Grey. Really, thank you a lot." That was one of those little things in a relationship. I am grateful.
