I just found another little slip of paper on top the microwave ...
"Do not seek so much to find the answer as much as to understand the question better. "
this soooo describes several of the situations I encounter at work and sometimes in my personal interactions... especially today when I got an email from a coworker who has a serious lack of defining her question (which leads me to try to understand her question better and leads to me asking questions to clarify ... rather than jumping at giving her a half assed answer that she will open a can of worms with...).
and especially when I received letters and forms from mu Supervisor that required my analyst skills in over drive. Well Mr.... I realized today that I clearly understand "the question " better and I'll prove it. I can't be trumped that easy.
Often in.my life, because my brain is wired to be an analyst, I do not seek so much to find the answer as much as to understand the question better.
maybe this also applies to self-inner analysis and reflection.
