Begin Cable-and-Lace Pattern:

Rnd 1: *p1, k2tog, yf, k2tog, yo, p1, k6; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 2 (and all even rnds): *p1, k4, p1, k6; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 3: *p1, (yf, k2tog) 2x, p1, k6; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 5: Rnd 1.
Rnd 7: Rnd 3.
Rnd 9: *p1, k2tog, yf, k2tog, yo, p1, C6L; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 11: Rnd 3.
Rnd 12: Rnd 2.
Work these 12 rnds 4x total, ending with a Rnd 12.

I am positively BOGGLED as to why I would need to bring the yarn forward to knit 2 together!

the only thing i can think of is if the yarn was surposed to actually wrap around the front of the stitch, but then you would slip one and yb. Maybe an error in the pattern?
I am off to work, but if you go to ravelry and patterns and put the pattern name in it may find it and then you can see if anyone else has done the pattern. I have pm'ed people to ask them questions. Also if you post the pattern name and the above highlighted on rav in the Patterns Group people will help you. You can not post to much of a paid for pattern. Free patterns are fine to post.
