I wouldn't let me kids trick or treat after 12, so we had parties and they started making their own costumes. Now they are both much more into Halloween then I am.
My girls have carried on the tradition and yes the sweat suits do make make a great base. My son was once a Ninja Turtle with a cardboard shell that he leped craft with me. The girls did the hippie tye dye thing and yes we had ghosts and a hobo.... it really is a load of fun and I am loving that the girls are doing things for their babies now. My mom did it for us... it stays in the family for sure!
