What do you like about your job?: I love the actual work of helping people heal painful relationships with food and make healthier life choices as well.
I also like that I mostly make my own schedule and it allows me time for lots of other good things in my life.
What do you loathe about your job?: That I’m in charge of creating my own income. It can be turbulent out there.

Do you like to dance? Yup. Can’t say I’m so good at it, but I do enjoy it. Not like club dancing stuff though- I love contra dancing, am learning swing dancing.
If you could change a law which would it be? Equal marriage rights, obviously. Black and white harsh laws for sex crimes- none of this plea bargaining stuff and wishwashy consequences.
Do you collect anything? 50s memorabilia and books.

why? 60s, massive political surging and emerging, good music, and fun clothes.
Would you ever have plastic surgery? I actually did, to repair a severed tendon. I made the guy promise not to touch my face or boobs. So,unless it was a medical necessity, no.
Your idea of a good meal: Local grown, flavorful, and cooked with someone I love while fun music is playing in the kitchen.

what would you want to see? Jeeze, I have no idea.

What are your Hobbies: Cooking, reading, writing, biking, trying to teach my dog tricks…
Do you have Phobias, what are they?: Heights. I’m working on it, a little.
Do you believe in past lives? If yes, do you have any thoughts on
yours? Yes. When I was a kid I thought I was Harriet Tubman. Now I think that was because she was the first woman in history I ever learned about and I latched onto her. I have no idea who I’ve been.
What do you get complemented on most often? My hair, if we’re talking physical. My cooking if we’re talking talent.
What frustrates you most often about your body, ruling out weight as
an acceptable answer? That I’m not as toned as I used to be.
If given the magical gift to make three global changes, what would
they be? Everyone would be financial equal, universal health care, complete global intolerance of all “isms”
If you could walk in the shoes of one person for a day, whose shoes
would you choose? A neighbor of mine who I really admire. She’s in her 70s and her husband is in his 80s. She designed the house they live in to be completely solar powered, with everything on one level with wide doors for if either of them are wheelchair bound, they grow all of their own food and are all kinds of awesome. House includes a greenhouse in the bedroom so they can grow their greens/veggies all year long. She is so wise and calm and centered. I want to be her for a day.
Describe your religious / spiritual beliefs, if any: Atheist, but really interested in religion all the same.
Do you generally feel understood? As much as I think I should expect others to understand me.
Would you sacrifice your life if you could save the lives of ten
thousand others? Not while I have a child in my care, sorry.
Biggest concern about aging: Making sure my daughter is alright.
What were you like in high school? In the beginning- honestly, anorexic rock girl. By the end, still not eating much but more of a hippie intellect. I knuckled down and doubled up on classes to graduate early and get the hell out of there.
Is the idea of marriage appealing to you? If the right person came along, but it’s never been a big life goal.
Issues that you feel most passionate about: LGBTQ rights, ending domestic violence, ending poverty, balance of power, quality of food being produced and marketed in America.
The person whose opinion matters the most to you: My daughter, my family, my friends.

Sexual orientation: Lesbian, embracing the femme side more as I grow.
How do you identify yourself : Femme, or femmish. Loosely defined. I totally have my femme side- but not one so deep that I wear makeup and fancy shoes. I think there’s a part in me that could but it would take a special someone to draw that out.
Current relationship status: Single. Wasn't that a prerequisite to filling this out?
What you look for in a partner: Connection, emotional and physical. Humor. My partner needs to make me laugh and they need to get my sometimes wacky sense of humor- or at least pretend to. Someone who will know that even though I’m a mother that they are also valued and loved. One who doesn’t get jealous about my parenting responsibilities. Someone open to trying new things with me and who will encourage me to try new things with them. Someone who can step out of their comfort zone once in a while. Communication is key- I need open honest communication. And if we don’t communicate the same way that we take the time to learn how the other communicates so we still can understand each other. I look for that electricity, passion, connection, and commitment.
