Linus, I rechecked Firefox and found 2 listings for Java add-ons. one was Platform and the other was Toolkit.
After looking at both of them, Platform was disabled for some reason and I enabled it, closed out Firefox and restarted. So, it seems like that was the culprit because I can get in through FF now.

For anyone else with this issue, they should check both add-ons.
