Just wanted to thank everyone again for the birthday wishes......

Instead of the possibility of a cake collapsing under the weight of all the required candles, I opted for one candle stuck in a kolache.....no chance of cake collapsage that way.... no, I didnt eat 45 kolaches..... I just had one..... now, the peanut butter cookies are different story.... I think I stopped at like 18 of those......

I'm getting way older than I feel......when I"m running those 5k mud runs, the 5k regular runs and the half marathons I'm running...... it's practice for when I get too old to control my poop.....ya got the speed run that you do when you've already pooped yer drawers..... then you have the Toilet Paper dash.... that's the run you usually have to do to find a bathroom around when you are in unfamiliar territory...... and then the long-distance walk/run that seems like 13 miles when you parked at the wrong side of the parking lot so you could "get a little exercise in" and it comes back at you with vengeance by that all too familiar rumble in your tummy....then it becomes the 13 mile sprint to the nearest restroom.....

temporary dementia set in when I actually got up and started DRIVING to the race.....and did not subside when the wind from the north was about two degrees below zero.

anyways, I finished the race, upright and running......I'm pretty proud of myself for doing this race right before I had to move up into another age bracket.....so, at 45, I can still run faster and farther than I could 25 years ago...,..
