My family's Halloween tradition has always been to have a big pot of homemade chili on the stove, to eat either before heading out trick or treating, or after. All my kids and grandkids have moved away now, and D is out on the road. I debated long and hard whether to make the chili today, since it is just me here tonight.

Yes, traditons mean a lot to me, so I made the chili. yummmmmo!

so now I have 2 freezer bags filled with chili, for when D comes home, or the kids come to visit.

(I heard from my youngest son tonight. He was out trick or treating with his kids, in colorado springs. He told me that there was a pot of chili waiting on the stove for them to get back home. It just warms my heart when my kids continue on with the traditions that I had had when they were young, now with THEIR kids!)
