Winesap
(Apples)




I'm not sure about the etymology of the winesap except to say that the apple is crisp and tastes just like an apple pie (to me). From what I understand about the winesap, the apple is an heirloom strand of apples and not only do they taste divine on their own, but you can use them for a variety of culinary dishes (pies, tarts, make juice or even an apple wine, etc).
