Flour, sugar...we are not talking about expensive ingredients here. What broke down?
I bet another company picks this one up. Give it a week or two. When there is a public outcry over a national favorite brand, smart business people listen.

Profitable no. Hostess filed for bankruptcy in January, its second trip to bankruptcy court since 2004. It previously emerged from restructuring in 2009 after a four-and-a-half year process.
Reportedly, they tried to sell the company outright but there were no takers. Presume the union contracts played into it.
Now they are petitioning the bankruptcy court to liquidate assets i.e. sell the brands to other companies which have expressed an interest in them.

I hope they bring back those orange snow ball things. I like looking at them but wont eat them. They remind me of cousin It.
