I think a lot of songs have some special meaning for some folks as well. I also think that music is just another way for some folks to express themselves.
You will also get those that are much better at face to face communication and can't write a romantic word to save their life. I think we all handle situations differently.
Just my thoughts..

I was raised by a father that told me if I can't say it, write it. Even if you never give it to a soul, keep writing and reading it until you are satisfied. He then told me once I felt better to crumble up the paper and throw it away. He was wise, got me to think and feel when I didn't want to.
