Spacing is off, some are loose, some are tight. But. I'm practicing.
I am gonna just keep doing these two things and get them down good, before i move on. Of course today being Thanksgiving i've had no time to practice and now i work the next three days.
But, I'll get there!!!!!!!!

when knitting it doesn't matter if you are a loose knitter or a tight knitter.
Having said that:
you do have to be consistent
realize that if you make a sock, hat, sweater, or mittens that gauge matters and being a loose knitter or a tight knitter will throw your gauge off and your piece will be to small or to big.
on toys, shawls, scarfs, gauge doesn't matter.
gauge
all pattern either list gauge or tell you it doesn't matter.
If it matters:
it will say that you should do a gauge swatch. If it says that 20 stitches x 20 rows should equal a 4x4 swatch and you do it and your 20 stitches x 20 rows makes a 3x3 swatch then what you are knitting will be to small. If your 20 stitches x 20 rows is 5x5 then what you are knitting will be way to big.
when you are happy and relaxed you will probably knit looser and when you are tense and upset you will probably knit tighter.
you will find dozens of you tubes for every stitch there is
there are dozens of cast on's and cast off's
use the one listed in the pattern if they tell you something specific
do your favorite if they don't tell you which one to use.
My favorite is the long tail cast on
