My ex and I just ended our LDR...we remain the best of friends and he will always be a part of my life, and I his. There were just a few factors that mattered to change it from a romance to a friendship.

I am in no hurry to date. When I do, it will probably be local because I will not move again for a relationship. And at my age, which is 53, most of the people I would consider dating, have a home, a job, friends, family, etc invested in the area they are currently living in. I have moved three times for a relationship and three times the relationship did not work. I would not want to uproot someone and feel the blame for that if it did not work out. I have been there and its a pain to lose so much AND a relationship ontop of it.

I am wondering how others my age think they can resolve the migration of long distance dating...
