She and I had the BEST day yesterday.

We had to get up early to go out and buy another washing machine. The old one died a horrible, noisy death. We had a great breakfast out at a local buffet, then we went and picked out a new front loader "steam" washer at Sears (I <3 Kenmore appliances). We found one on sale and bought the whole caboodle, complete with pedestal, so neither of us has to lean down to fish wet clothes out.

Then we came home and had a relaxing afternoon together. The Christmas tree is up and we had a great time getting the ornaments out and sorted through. This will be our first Christmas together and she'll meet my mother, sister and niece for the first time (G-d help her!!! LOL).

So then, last night, we were both feeling a little restless, so we threw on some clothes and went down to the local casino, which is not even a mile down the road from my house, and we had a little fun with the slots and video poker machines. I hit a 50 cent royal flush for a $2000 jackpot, then I got another $600 out of a dollar poker machine, and L learned how to play video poker and walked away with $300 in winnings of her own. We then came home and I realized......

The casino just paid for our new front load Kenmore Elite steam washer!!!!!

So......

We're smiling this morning over coffee as we wait for the Sears truck to arrive, deliver and set up the new washer.
