Over the past week or so, I've fielded an increasing number of requests via private message or facebook to reveal crushes. I'm not sure why this is but may relate to some of my posts on the asexuality thread.

I'm happy to do so. However, firstly, to get the awkward stuff out of the way ... I absolutely hate the term "butch up" (or "man up") and cringe when I see it here on this thread. However, I understand the underlying sentiment and I am happy to disclose.

I am in love with Tmbyfem and have been for almost eight years . We were in a relationship for some years but no longer are. I don't think we'll ever re-ignite the relationship but we remain very close - in fact, probably closer than ever. I love her more each day. The term "soul mates" sounds incredibly cliche and anodyne but it's real in this instance. Other than my mother, she is the only woman that I love and the only woman I want to be in love with. I'm happy with that. I'm a bit relationship-phobic.

Tmbyfem is a member here but not very active (was active on the dash site back in the day) and many here know both of us in real-life. I think that they can vouch for the connection. I've convinced her to come to Little Rock for the Reunion this year - this will be her first Reunion but she attended almost all of the dash site bashes. I'm so glad she is coming. She is a beautiful lady.

However, yes, I do crush. I LOVE to crush. Not in any serious sense like putting up posters on my wall or obsessing (well, except for Sharon Cuneta, a Filipina singer I am in love with ) but in a more general, warm feeling.

Apologies for anyone I miss by accident and I acknowledge some of these femmes maybe aren't active on this forum / this thread but here goes:

Artdecogoddess: Love Pam. Probably less a crush and more admiration.

Dixie: a lot of superfluous online stuff. However, beautiful lady. Introspective underneath. Not much in common with her but could stare into her eyes for a long time. Needs to visit the British Isles.

Espressolover:
Manila is embedded in my heart.

Gemme: I'm guessing I've met a woman more gorgeous somewhere, someplace but genuinely cannot think of when or where. Truly beautiful.

Isadora: nothing needs be said

Island Scout:
Anyone who understands 1950s Brooklyn has the key to my heart.

Lady Merrick: Cannot resist her heels on my lap. I'm back in NYC in May and want to meet up again with her so much.

Nat: last time I posted something complimentary about Nat, this site crashed for two days. Not sure if that was a sign or not but thought I'd repeat it here. Love her perspective, her warmth and her relationship with Missy.

Nycbbwfemme:
again, less a crush and more an admiration. I love "real" and this woman is REAL. Let's meet up for a coffee when I am in NYC in May.

Poison: Different time, different place, we'd be happily married.

Sachita: can fantacise about me anytime.

Starryeyes:
needs to let me know when next visiting Europe. Great couple energy with Justin. I love their love (if that makes sense).

As for Butch crushes?

None for me but love Wolfy's continued contribution to this thread. Importantly, I love Moonie and Blistex - I probably didn't realise how much until we all got the chance to meet up again last autumn ..... and also love the rawness of KCbutch's energy and honesty. I know all these butch folk in real life and look forward to meeting up with all of them during the course of 2013.

Over and out,

Ciaran
