Being closeted in an ABBA sense is a powerful tool and is very different from being closeted over sexuality or identity.
It's not that being "out" as ABBA is wrong or that we fear our families would turn against us etc. Rather, being "closeted" gives us the surprise factor ......... I work up to 16 hours a day, it's a hard and conservative and smile-less life. It's black suits and hard work.
But on my way into the office and on my way back home, there's nothing better or more real than listening to "dancing queen" .. or my current favourite:
ABBA, for me, is the same as my fashion. It's just a part of me. Some get it - most don't. That's fine as I don't get most people either. It's so out of my day-to-day world of 9am to 5pm white collar-ism that if I ever tried to actually fit into it I couldn't.
ps - I'm all for kissing the teacher.
