Here is Las Vegas illustrator Jska Priebe’s series of legendary women in her art series “Stellar: The Women of Science Fiction”. These mixed media works juxtapose religious iconic imagery and popular culture, highlighting seven archetypal characters in the science fiction genre including Ellen Ripley (Alien), Sarah Connor (Terminator), Rachael (Blade Runner), Trinity (The Matrix), Leeloo Dallas (Fifth Element), Kara Thrace (Battlestar Galactica) and River Tam (Firefly).
