A drip tip on its own is just a piece of plastic. It won't do anything as far as flavor changes go as it's just the portion you inhale through. Think of it as the straw in a drink, it's just for assisting in the actual process. You do, however, need them to drip.
If you're thinking about having him actually *drip* you'll need at least 2 atomizers, and yes, it's easier to change out flavors as you can sort of blow them out between flavors, plus, unless you flood it, once you vape a few drops, the coil inside pretty much cleans itself.
If you want to rinse them out, they can be quickly rinsed in *distilled* water. Don't use tap water on your e-cig parts ever - even if it's been through a brita - it needs to be distilled to prevent corrosion. It's also super cheap so that should help - you won't need it for anything other than cleaning stuff or adding one or two drops to a liquid to thin it (and i literally mean 1 or 2 drops, someone i know ruined a juice by running it under the tap). You can also use Vodka for this process if you have it on hand, apparently it's great at cleaning out stuff with no taste left behind - please don't mistake this for rubbing alcohol which could be toxic - pure ol' Vodka (cheap is ok) is the best in this situation!
So - if you mean atties, yes, quick flavor change is possible when dripping, but you're only dripping 3-4 drops at a time so it's not as simple as regular vaping - you have to sort of pay attention to what you're doing.
Drip tips, by themselves, are great to use on cartos, and of course tanks and vivi's and any other removable tip unit (unless it's a ce and those require special screw on drip tips but they can be found, i have some).
If none of that made sense, or you want more advice, dripping is actually my favorite way to vape and I've been doing it for a year now and there are different atties (510s, 306s) and they all come in regular, lr and hr so if i knew a little more, i could help a little more
