Dogs like people...especially their Masters at home. Personally, I don't think it is so kind to leave a dog at a daycare for 16 hours a day (and I doubt you will be able to find one that stays open that long).

Your dog wants to be with you, doing stuff with you. To me, it doesn't sound like you have time for a dog. I feel shitty if after I get home from work (8.5- 9 hours), I leave him to go out with people. Most of the time I don't, but I always make sure to make up for it on the weekends with long hikes, etc. To ME, it doesn't sound like you have time for a dog.

I say focus on getting the girl first, then get the dog! No girl = no dog.

Suck it up and get a cat (a lot of them don't give a shit).
