Having a piece come together. Sometimes I have to let a piece sit for a while before I can see the finished product. Today 6 paintings got finished. All only needed a little bit, but it felt so good to see them done.

Someone recently asked me how I know a painting is done (I typically paint abstracts). I didn't know how to explain it to them. I just know. I know when it is wrong and needs to be painted over, when it just needs something added and when it is done. Often pieces sit for a while before I can see what needs to be done, but in the end I always know.
