Default Leatherbacks are losing...

They do work pretty good.... until humans came and started egg collection, fisheries bycatch, habitat destruction (even something as simple as leaving porch lights on during nesting/hatch season) and I could go on and on. The Leatherback Turtle is now on the critically endangered list. Very sad....
Thanks for posting the cool pictures as it is a good reminder how we can impact a species, intentionally or not.


Katniss~~(sorry to soapbox but I volunteered with turtle rescue at St. George Island back in the day and leatherback nests were few and far between. )
