what I accomplished today ... will most likely make me BEG for pain relief tomorrow .
to say I overdid it is an understatement ...
but the chickens are happy with their new home made from recycled swing sets, repurposed 10x10x6 dog cage panels, 1 repurposed dog cage gate...recycled heavy duty steal wire warehouse rack dividers (say that 5 times fast) to make sure chickies can't squeeze thru spaces in cage panels, recycled sheets of aluminum siding for shade and weather protection on the side, recycled smaller panels of aluminum window awnings for the roof, YARDS AND YARDS of recycled "hot wire " used to wire everything together and make sure no coyotes can get in ...and no chickies can get out....2 reused 1"x6"x10' boards to "slap hammer " the bottom of the chicken wire to...and several feet of regular chicken wire to fill in little gaps on the end caps...this all made an engineering NIGHTMARE, UGLY chicken hutch...
but all 12 babies are very happy
