Setting goals and meeting them makes me happy!
Seeing progress keeps me motivated!

I am on vacation and haven't been on here much,
and there are so many posts I want to respond to!

First, my fiance and I have counted calories for a couple of years.
We use Lose It on our iPhones, it is web based too.
It worked for both of us, but last winter
(hmmm, it might have been triggered by SuperStorm Sandy),
we both slacked off and gained 3/4s back.
Now, I am cycling carbs. I am still using Lose It to do this.
200 150 100 50 125 Repeat
For the past nine weeks I have lost 1.5-2.5 lbs a week, except
for week 3. I have completely stopped counting calories, because
I am always under! This is apparently preventing starvation mode.

I also bought a heart rate monitor, and use it to stay in my fat
burning zone. For me, it's between 123-143 beats per minute.
I only use it for cardio, which I do 45 minutes every day.

I also measure my fat with a fat caliper once a week when I
officially weigh in (I actually weigh myself twice a day, before
bed and first thing in the morning). I record this data on a spread
sheet to keep track of my lean mass, fat weight, body fat, and
weight.

I had a great time yesterday! Cardio before lunch. Ate lunch and
rested an hour. Back to the gym for weights. Drank the ever so
important whey protein. Drove ten minutes to the cold ocean and
jumped in for an hour! Must do more often! Great for muscle
recovery!

Anyway, I am back in the Bronx this week.
Lifting weights in my apartment and wearing the heart monitor
while walking around the neighborhood for 45 minutes...
(Can't wait to get back to the ocean!)

My Sweetie wonders...
"When you reach your goal weight Honey, what are you going
to obsess about?"
