Haven't been on a treadmill in eons because walking on them (or very, very fast walking on the ground), creates great arch pain. I have known for years I should go see a podiatrist and look at getting those inserts, but the cost is ridiculous (or at least it used to be). I think my issue is flat feet...meaning, I have little arch.

Ideas? I remember seeing something at some pharmacy of a thing you step on to determine what inserts you need. Maybe I will try that first? Otherwise, I should look into a running store like Gemme, maybe?

Advice, please, my friends! It would be nice to have the option to do the treadmill.

Devilish (or not) thing I did while at the gym: went behind the desk, reached in the "remotes" drawer and muted the t.v. near where I planned to do yoga. very satisfying!
Geez you are becoming a slacker! Only 60 minutes of cardio?

My gym (if you can call it that), has a not so efficient approach to audio. There are 3 TVs. Two you can change the stations on. Meanwhile there is an overhead speaker system that sometimes has a radio station on. There are never any staff there (well, maybe during the work day, I dunno....again, remember peeps my gym is at my job...a medical hospital), so I have no idea how to turn the damn thing off, which I would like to do so I can hear/watch SVU or something to pass the time (they only have like 15 stations we can choose from, and an hour show makes it easy).

Perhaps I need to figure out how to work that ipod I bought eons ago, but never used.

As an aside, since Sunday I have noticed more people are coming to the gym. I believe that I have told you all that it is usually deserted. I am not sure how I feel about the increase in people. It is such a small space and there is hardly any room to move around between machines.

I have to be somewhere right after work today. I need to commit to using my eliptical at home tonight.

Have a great day, my "moving our bodies for health", people!
