Maybe. I think one factor that keeps me from experiencing things of that nature could be attributed to a graduate level class I took in Film & Social Media. When watching any film, my prior studies in Film and Social Media kick in and I find myself evaluating items of interest (scare factors, etc) that sometimes take away the 'joy' of being scared. If that makes any sense, at all.
