My name comes from a beautiful bride
I am named after no one in my family, like my other siblings. All of my brothers and sisters were named after members of my family or the parents and siblings of my parent's families.
But in my case, as I remember the story recounted to my by my mom's mother: my mother was pregnant with me at the time, when my mother and grandmother traveled to see my mother's grandmother (my great-grandmother) in Ft. Worth, TX (by train). On that train, my mother was reading a newspaper from Texas, that another traveler left on the train. In the bridal section of that particular paper, there was a beautiful photo of a newly-wed couple.
My mother thought she was beautiful, liked her name and that is how I was given my name.
