like most of his work, this painting is luminescent, it seems to radiate warmth and light from within
Winslow Homer: Northeaster
I don't know if there is/has ever been a better American landscape painter than Homer, his paintings of the sea are incredibly evocative (to me).

I love representational art and I love pretty much every piece of art Shan Shan Sheng has ever created, I especially love her venetian glass sculpture and installations. If I had a lot of money I would own a lot of her art. shanshansheng.com
