I so agree. You can't repeat socks. Sometimes I try if I only put them on for an hour or so to run to the store or some such thing. I've tried tucking them in my shoes to encourage me to wear them again because really they are still clean, but I always take them out in a short time and throw them in the dirty clothes. I just can't seem to do it. I started leaving them out on a little ledge on my nightstand so I can reuse them, but after they are there for a while I end up tossing them in the dirty clothes. They never make it to be reused unless I end up running right back out within the hour. Now I don't even bother to try. I just throw them in the dirty clothes immediately and try to forget about the waste of money because I have to use the laundromat in the building since we aren't allowed to keep washers or dryers in the apartments, and the wear and tear on the socks. Luckily my feet like to be free so I rarely wear socks at any other time except to go out. I don't sleep in socks, my feet hate that. They like to breathe.
