1. Try to spend as much time as possible outdoors and in nature. No carols, no consumerism, no decorations.
2. Plan your summer vacation. Be detailed, get brochures, turn in leave requests, etc.
3. When all else fails start an aggressive workout/eating plan. Nothing like dropping a few pounds or toning a new muscle group to make one feel smug on Jan. 1st as the rest of the world rolls out of bed with hangovers and extra poundage.
