In all due respect of your love for the dreaded buttermilk. I hate let me make this perfectly clear I
HATE buttermilk,. Im sure it has something to do with the fact that my mom drink HUGE quantities while pregnant with me. Funny story that I wont go into right now.
I use a egg and milk wash when I fry my Southern Fried Chicken. Which anyone who has eaten it will tell u its GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now for the said cast iron I love that stuff. Esp if it has been seasoned "right"
I have been KNOWN to use fatback however I now know it isnt good for you
I just know my dr is reading what i write so i wont say i still use it in my veggies
