I was wrapping a birthday present and as I was digging my way to the bottom of the wrapping paper drawer, I found a treasure! Laying on the bottom, all flat, with not a single crease...a work of art. A very beautiful finger painting. It had a date of 1996. My sweet niece/God daughter painted this Christmas Day for me. She was 4.

Today, she is a beautiful young woman, working on her Masters at age 21.
I took a picture and posted it on the book of face, sharing with her and her mother. The happy comments flew back and forth. Again, the amazement of bringing people together. Social media.

As I ran my fingers over the lumps and bumps of dried paint, it took me back. The sweet happy tears run again.
