Jacob Lawrence and the Making of the Migration Series
In 1993, the Phillips Collection created an educational program based on
the Great Migration series of painting by artist Jacob Lawrence. The
program, funded in part by the Humanities Council of Washington, DC, produced
a documentary film featuring interviews with Lawrence, and a unique analysis
of his striking visual representation of history.
