I totally agree! I loved the original but thought most people would be familiar with the latest version. Disturbing, thought provoking, dark, intense and an utterly brilliant story from start to finish. I also wonder why Spike touch this classic film, he was probably trying to appeal to a mass audience, I think he totally ruined ambiance and suspense....especially the ending.
