Since Gemme said Frustrating.
Here is my frustrating moment;
Pretty much everyone knows that I am mixed in Nationalities. In Hawaii, we would call it Poi Dog... (Mixed Breed).
At work, we had a new RN, she grabbed my arm and pulled me to a patient, and told me to translate what the patient was saying.
Mind you, I can pass as Hispanic (In TX. Mexican in Florida Cuban) <~ as the quote society says....
The woman said to me Buenos Diaz and grabbed her arm and said owwwieeeeeeee and started saying more.
I looked at the RN and said, she said good morning, owwwieeeeee. And everyone around started laughing because they all know that I don't speak Spanish. The RN got very aggravated with me and started yelling at me and said, well what else did she say!!!??? I said, how the heck am I supposed to know, I don't speak Spanish. She said bluntly, what the hell kind of Mexican are you? ~TSK~ shame on her!
I said, depends.... (as the other RN informed her that I was Hawaiian mixed.
She said well; Gracias to you, and I said yeahhhhhh Grass shacks to you too!
I swear, people are so naive sometimes.
