This morning's rain delayed my plans a bit...as I didn't have a rain coat to mess around with while I finished setting up my camp wash tub/fish cleaning station and start my breakfast...

When the sun finally broke thru, I walked dogs, arranged supplies where I wanted them, took a LONG hot shower, had breakfast, trouble shot (as "shooted" isn't a word) some mechanical issues, then drove to town for a few things and to pick up my monthly supply of meds.

Today was my first day on a new program that helps uninsured, disabled individuals pay for meds....I HATE being on meds but am very thankful my care team are doing their best to improve my quality of life.
When I picked up the package with 4 'scripts, I had a sudden pleasurable feeling of accomplishment....because this time last year, I had given up hope of finding a good doctor, getting answers, and setting a care plan...and the thought of insurance or AFFORDABLE care made me have meltdowns as I knew I couldn't afford the new health care insurance. ...
So...since last fall (I think starting in September) I have gathered strength to fight the system (NO, I am not eligible for or on Medicaid)...and have set up an AMAZING care team.

Today's accomplishment was, without insurance or state assistance, I reduced my out of pocket expenses for my care down to $20...(total cost would have been $941.28...and sadly none of the RX are covered on Walmart's $4 plan)

This is a HUGE accomplishment for a person that had nearly lost or given up hope that things would get better.
