The last baby eagle went on his way today.

After a grueling day yesterday with winds battering it around and almost out of the nest, Mom came back to feed him a leftover squirrel. Then, it spent a peaceful night on a branch with Mom by its side.

When Mom left in the morning, it practiced flying to branches and landing back in the nest - it has to come back to get fed and seeing its older sibling is having landing issues, it wanted to be prepared, I think.

At 10:45 it climbed up to the camera and mooned us for a bit then climbed up to the top of the tree. 5 minutes later it took flight. It is reportedly doing fine and resting in a nearby tree.

Sweet. And sad.
