my smart phone rings and a familiar face appears on the screen.

me answering the phone: Hey Padro, what's up?
Padro: Who's your best friend?
me: You are!
Padro: What do you need?
me: I don't know?!? What do you got?
Padro: Tickets.
me: To what?
Padro: Jill Scott
me: screams loudly enough to wake up the cows—we have been trying to see Jill for 15 years!
me: (after we stop laughing) How much I owe ya?
Padro: Nothing, Christmas has come early.

Lucky me. Tickets to see Jill Scott with my best buddy.

Really lucky me to have a friend like him—not because he does things like this either, but he's just the kind of good person everyone should have in their life.
