Great characters, terrific plotting.
A bit like House of Cards took it's cue ( to put it mildly) from the British version, so I think OITNB developed many of its characters and themes from Wentworth and its predecessor "Prisoner" ( 1979-86). However it may also be true, though not likely, that all women's prisons really do have pretty much identical inmate populations, characters, power roles and problems and so there's nothing original left to be written.
Give Wentworth, on Netflix, a try but be warned, it is highly addictive.

I don't see 3 seasons on Netflix, just two.
I agree that it is terrific but just checked again, still 2 seasons.
Anyone know when the 3rd season will be on Netflix in the US?
