Scents....
Scents I Like:
- Micah, my cat (I love pressing my face in along his fur and smelling him when he cuddles into my head and pillow at bedtime)
- Shampoos, bodywashes, perfumes and/or colognes, laundry detergents/fabric softeners associated with people I've held and treasure/treasured
- Freshly mown grass
- Baked bread
- Coffee
- Puppy or kitten breath
- A baby's skin (clean)
- Wooded areas (Some may not like the damp, earthy, "dirty" smell, but I adore it-- it smells like the areas I played in a lot as a child)
- The smell of being near a lake, especially when out fishing or camping
- Salt-air / the ocean (I'm terrified of the ocean, but the smell of the air there is wonderous)
- Gasoline being pumped
- Citrus (cleaners, candles, fresh fruit, etc.)
- Lavender (incense, fabric softeners, perfumes, etc.)
- "New Car" scent after the plastic's been removed from the interior
- Damp, morning air and cool evenings
- Popcorn
Scents I Dislike:
- Sulfur (I have olfactory hallucinations where I can smell sulfur but others around me cannot-- it's disturbing)
- Burnt popcorn
- Body odor / poor hygiene
- Baby food (certain kinds make my throat clench-- reminds me of an old, painful memory)
- Public restrooms (Of course!)
- Sandalwood Incense (though it has a "woodsy" smell I normally like, many brands of it give me headaches)
