My daughter's 18th birthday party was today. She is a kid with medical special needs and learning disabilities, and it hasn't been easy getting to this point. Today, I smiled:

...there were 16 high schoolers at her party, typical kids as well as all kinds of special needs. They all seemed to be having a good time, and two stayed for a sleepover.

...I stopped on the way home to pick up some freecycled lily of the valley shoots.

...I also stopped to get some Indian food for dinner.
