A month or so ago, I saw the award-winning
Precious--a movie, in my opinion, that lives up to its "hype." The acting is really on-target--and with so many difficult emotional scenes, the lack of artifice is really phenomenal. I also believe that the director Lee Daniels (producer of
Monsters Ball) and screenwriter Geoffrey Fletcher did an amazing job in staying true to Sapphire's splendid novel
Push--and that is truly an accomplishment!
